STOP the GAP
Avviato ufficialmente il progetto sportivo europeo “STOP the GAP”, che vede il CSI Comitato di Bari impegnato in partnership con associazioni e realtà provenienti da Italia, Macedonia del Nord e Croazia. Cofinanziato dall’Unione Europea, “SGAP” si pone l’obiettivo di coinvolgere giovani dai 7 ai 17 anni di vari paesi del Vecchio continente in attività sportive e sociali in grado di creare connessioni tra culture e tradizioni differenti. Protagonisti del progetto, infatti, saranno soprattutto ragazzi e ragazze con disabilità e in difficoltà socioculturali.
Dopo una prima fase di promozione, il ricco programma di “STOP the GAP” entrerà nel vivo nel corso del 2025 proponendo sia incontri formativi sui temi dell’inclusione e della prevenzione al bullismo sia attività gratuite di basket, ginnastica per il benessere, arti marziali, autodifesa, danza sportiva e ping-pong. Oltre al CSI Comitato di Bari, hanno aderito a “SGAP” anche le associazioni ЛАГ Агро Лидер della Macedonia del Nord e Parasportski savez Grada Rijeke della Croazia.
Tra i partner associati, invece, figurano: HBARI2003, Scuola di ballo Monton de Estrellas, ASD Icaro Andria, ASD Maieutica APS, ASD I Lupi di San Francesco APS, Scuola elementare “Manku Matak” – Krivogashtani, Comune di Gradsko e Comune di Krivogashtani

The young athletes involved in the SGAP - STOP the GAP project have landed on the small screen! Some of the Italian athletes involved in our sports programme, co-funded by the European Union, participated in TELEBARI's TB Sport programme, bringing their experience and enthusiasm directly into the homes of TV viewers.
During the episode, we also had the opportunity to officially present the project, recounting our mission: to use sport as a tool for inclusion, breaking down cultural and social barriers. 🌍💙
Special thanks to Telebari for the dedicated space and to all the athletes who, with their commitment and passion, make SGAP a truly special project!

🤩 We are reliving the intense emotions of the first Italian meeting of SGAP - Stop the Gap, experienced a few days ago in Bari.
🇮🇹🇲🇰🇭🇷 The Italian, Croatian, and Macedonian partners gathered in the beautiful Adriatic city to officially present the sports project, co-financed by the European Union, and to discuss the sports and training activities to be implemented in their respective territories.

After the enthusiasm of the press conference of the project, co-financed by the 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧, and the success of the first sports activities in Bari, today the focus was on discovering and enhancing the territory.
The Italian, Croatian, and Macedonian partners immersed themselves in the wonders of the 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐝'𝐈𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚, visiting:
✨ The spectacular Grotte di Castellana, an authentic journey into the heart of the earth.
🏠 The magical Trulli of Alberobello, a UNESCO heritage site and symbol of Puglia.
A unique experience that allowed participants to team up, strengthen the bond between different cultures and appreciate the beauty that makes our territory unique in the world. 🌍🤝

We are thrilled to announce the press conference for SGAP - Stop the Gap, an innovative and inclusive sports project co-funded by the European Union and promoted by CSI Comitato di Bari in collaboration with partners from Italy, North Macedonia, and Croatia. 🌍🤝
This project is aimed at young people aged 7 to 17, with a special focus on boys and girls with disabilities and socio-cultural challenges, offering sports and social activities to build connections across different cultures and traditions. 🏀🤸♀️🥋💃
👉 What’s planned:
Free activities including basketball, wellness gymnastics, martial arts, self-defense, sports dancing, and ping-pong. Plus, training sessions on inclusion and anti-bullying strategies.
🚀 The press conference will feature:
The Mayor of Bari Vito Leccese, Member of the European Parliament Antonio Decaro, Mayor of Andria Giovanna Bruno, National President of Centro Sportivo Italiano Vittorio Bosio, and many other distinguished guests!
